Children of the same age can differ by a full size. Use height and chest to choose, and use age only as a guide.
What to measure
1. Height — child standing straight against a wall, without shoes.<br>2. Chest — around the fullest part of the chest, tape parallel to the floor, not tight.<br>3. Waist — for jeans, track pants and lehengas, around the natural waist.

Baby wear is sized by months (0–3, 3–6, 6–9, 9–12, 12–18, 18–24).
Between two sizes?
Go one size up — children grow fast and cotton may shrink slightly after the first wash. For festive wear that will be worn once, the closer fit looks better in photos.
