Festival and wedding shopping for children in North India happens in a rush. A little planning saves money and tantrums.
Four weeks before
- Decide the number of functions and outfits needed per child.
- Share photos of the family's outfits or colour theme on WhatsApp — we will shortlist matching kids' options.
- Order sherwanis and lehengas now; popular sizes sell out first.
Two weeks before
- Re-measure height — kids grow between seasons.
- Order matching kurta sets for father and son, or lehenga and mother's outfit colours.
- Buy accessories: caps, socks, hair bands.
One week before
- Check everything has arrived and fits. Exchanges are easier now than the day before.
- Wash cotton kurtas once; keep embroidered outfits hanging so they don't crease.
On the day
- Keep one comfortable cotton outfit for the long daytime functions and the fancy outfit for the evening.
- Carry a hoodie or woollen cap for evening functions in winter.
Our Kids Ethnic & Festive Wear category is updated before every season — send us a message to see the latest arrivals.
